[Neon Nocturnal]

welcome. im leon. :) im a student at the university of huddersfield. studying drama and theatre history. i love music, mostly electronic related stuff. massive fan of eurovision and Glee, i also love musical theatre, which is kind of a duh looking at what i study. i often dabble in art from time to time too! :) im on a journey to slowly find faith within myself. :) feel free to ask questions!

I love some things about living in student accommodation don’t get me wrong….

but what really grinds my gears and it’s a huge thing… is the total lack of respect most people seem to have for those around them.

It’s great that everyone is having fun… but why does everyone else have to know about it when they’re trying to sleep, do their work or just simply try to relax in their rooms.

The loudness of music and high bass is ridiculous, I mean, fair enough listen to music etc. I don’t begrudge anyone that, but when the bass is so high that you can’t do your work because the table is shaking, that’s just too far. I honestly wouldn’t mind if that kind of thing happened just on nights out, but it happens at 3 O’clock during the day, it’s a bit silly.

I also hate it when people come in from nights out and think it’s acceptable to wake everyone up. The reason this pisses me off so much, is because whenever I go out and come back in, I try really hard to be quiet and not to wake anyone up, I don’t seem to get that back at all. People come into the hallway shouting the odds and then come into the kitchen and play music or talk to someone as if they’re halfway down the street.

People coming into the flat and eating food or drinking something and not taking it back with them or cleaning up after themselves also really pisses me off. There’s a glass of coke on my windowsill that’s been there since last weekend and it has still to travel to wherever it came from. The coke probably went flat days ago.

End of Rant.
